On-Duty Pharmacy in Gumusluk: Find an Open Pharmacy Day or Night
Pharmacies in Gumusluk close in the evening, but one in each district stays open on a rota. Here is how to find it and what to bring.
Need a prescription first?
Skip the clinic: speak to a doctor by video, get an e-prescription if it is suitable and take it to the pharmacy.
The on-duty pharmacy system
- The name and address of the on-duty pharmacy are typically posted in the window of every pharmacy in the area.
- A rota decides which pharmacy in each district stays open overnight, on Sundays and on public holidays. This is the on-duty pharmacy.
- Pharmacies (eczane) are marked with a red E sign.
- The on-duty pharmacy may be in a neighbouring district, so a taxi can be useful at night.
- Pharmacists can advise on minor problems such as mild stomach upsets, insect bites and sunburn.
- Some medicines are sold only with a prescription, and controlled substances need a physical prescription.
Before you go
- A note of allergies and other medicines you take.
- Cash or a card; some pharmacies prefer cash at night.
- Your e-prescription on your phone, or a printout.
- Your passport, because the prescription is linked to your passport number.
- The address of your accommodation, in case the pharmacist needs to confirm your details.
